FAC Soccer

What is FAC Soccer

The Fieldhouse Athletic Club (FAC) is the largest travel soccer program in the Monadnock Region, focusing on skill development, teamwork and understanding the game at a higher level through training and game play. We place an emphasis on having coaches with playing experience at the college level and coaching experience at the college and/or high school levels. FAC fields competitive league teams in the fall and spring seasons, and offers training throughout the year, either at our indoor facility at The Fieldhouse in Swanzey, NH or at Keene State College's Owl Stadium complex fields.

Who

FAC currently enrolls players from ages 6 to 18. Our current membership is 150 strong.

What

FAC currently places its teams in the New Hampshire Soccer League. Regular season (both fall and spring) typically includes 7 scheduled games, plus playoffs for teams that qualify. We also participate in tournaments, during Columbus Day weekend in the fall and Memorial Day weekend in the spring.

Where

The program is housed out of The Fieldhouse at Homestead Mills in Swanzey, N.H., an indoor facility with a turf field. Outdoors, FAC trains and plays game at Keene State College's Owl Stadium Complex.

When

FAC fields teams in the fall and spring. In 2024-25, the club fielded 10U and 12U teams in the fall, and 10U, 12U, 13U Boys, 15U Boys, 15U Girls, 16U Boys and 18U Girls in the spring.

Expectations

FAC is seeking players who are willing to commit to elevating their game. Playing time is not given, but earned through:

Attitude: Being a good teammate, being willing to take instruction, and being a good sportsperson.

Aptitude: Increasing your understanding and mastery of the game at an age appropriate level and applying that in game conditions.

Attendance and Effort: We understand players and families have commitments beyond soccer, but we also know it takes time to develop a team. Showing up on game day with a lack of practice is not the way to find success individually or as a team. And attendance without effort is just wasted time.

Team Training

FAC offers training throughout the year.

Fall: A combination of indoor and outdoor practices for our teams to get ready to play in the fall season. These teams are usually at our younger levels.

Winter: We take advatage of having our own indoor facility (The Fieldhouse in Swanzey, NH) to train year when you can't go outside. We offer team training sessions, both optional and mandatory. Typically, teams train indoors once a week in the early part of winter and then twice a week as we get closer to being outside. We also offer exclusive access to the facility for FAC players.

Spring: The main season for the our teams, Teams typically train twice a week and play 1-2 games a weekend. The season starts in April and runs through late June.

Summer: Our slowest season, in terms of competitive games. Teams during the summer may line up friendly games against other clubs.

EDP and Extra Training

FAC;s Early Development Program (EDP) is for our youngest players, typically ages 6-10, who are just learning the team. This helps introduce players and families to the club system.

We also offers camps, clinics and private sessions for all FAC players, as well as non-FAC players.
