FAC Bolts Soccer

What is FAC Bolts Soccer?

The FAC Bolts is a partnership between the Boston Bolts and the Fieldhouse Athletic Club (FAC) to to create a higher level development to help players reach their goals.

The FAC Bolts field competitive league teams in the fall and spring seasons, and offers training throughout the year, either at our indoor facility at The Fieldhouse in Swanzey, NH or at Keene State College's Owl Stadium complex fields.

Who

The FAC Bolts currently enroll players from ages 6 to 19. Our current membership is 150 strong and will be supported by the Boston Bolts, who have 2,500+ players.

What

The FAC Bolts currently place teams in the New Hampshire Soccer League. Regular season (both fall and spring) typically includes 7 scheduled games, plus playoffs for teams that qualify. We also participate in tournaments, during Columbus Day weekend in the fall and Memorial Day weekend in the spring.

Where

The program is housed out of The Fieldhouse at Homestead Mills in Swanzey, N.H., an indoor facility with a turf field. Outdoors, The FAC Bolts train and play games at Keene State College.

When

The FAC Bolts field teams in the fall and spring. In 2025-26, the club fielded 10U, 12U and 13U teams in the fall, and 10U, 12U, 13U Boys, 14U Boys, 15U Boys, 17U Boys, 13U Girls, 15U Girls and 18U Girls in the spring.

Expectations

The FAC Bolts are seeking players who are willing to commit to elevating their game. Playing time is not given, but earned through:

Attitude: Being a good teammate, being willing to take instruction, and being a good sportsperson.

Aptitude: Increasing your understanding and mastery of the game at an age appropriate level and applying that in game conditions.

Attendance and Effort: We understand players and families have commitments beyond soccer, but we also know it takes time to develop a team. Showing up on game day with a lack of practice is not the way to find success individually or as a team. And attendance without effort is just wasted time.

Pathways

Players seeking to find the highest level of competition, training and exposure can find that within the Bolts system. Here are the various opportunities through the club:

  • New Hampshire Soccer League
  • New England Club Soccer League
  • Northeast Academy League
  • USL Academy
  • National Academy League
  • MLS Next Academy
  • MLS Next Homegrown
  • Development Player League
  • Girls Aspire Academy

Team Training

The FAC Bolts offer training throughout the year.

Fall: A combination of indoor and outdoor practices for our teams to get ready to play in the fall season. These teams are usually at our younger levels.

Winter: We take advantage of having our own indoor facility (The Fieldhouse in Swanzey, NH) to train when we can't go outside. We offer team training sessions, both optional and mandatory. Typically, teams train indoors once a week in the early part of winter and twice a week as we get closer to being outside. We also offer exclusive access to the facility for FAC players.

Spring: The main season for the our teams, Teams typically train twice a week and play games on the weekend. The season starts in April and runs through June.

Summer: Our slowest season, in terms of competitive games. Teams during the summer may line up friendly games against other clubs.

EDP

The Early Development Program (EDP) is for our youngest players, typically ages 6-10, who are just learning the team. This helps introduce players and families to the club system.

Power of Partnership; what it means for our players

Our partnership with the Boston Bolts allows us to create a higher level of coaching, more competitive league play, and a proven pathway that guides players from grassroots to collegiate and professional opportunities. At the core of our existence is a desire to develop kids so they are able to play for their high school teams and, hopefully, move on to college if good enough. This new partnership allows that and more for players who want more.

The FAC Bolts difference is:

  1. You no longer have to leave your local club to play at a higher level. With our new partnership, players who are invited to play for the Bolts' regional and national tournament teams will also be able to continue playing and training with the FAC Bolts. This will be a coordinated effort that allows players to continue playing with their friends while earning opportunities to develop at a higher level.
  2. You decide how much you travel and spend. Let's face it, travel sports cost money. Gas is not cheap and neither are hotel rooms or eating meals on the road. Our core teams will continue to play in the New Hampshire Soccer League. The play is solid and the travel is limited. If you want opportunities to play in leagues that require more travel, the Bolts offer higher-level teams for qualified players.
  3. We will continue to train at The Fieldhouse in the offseason and play and train at Keene State during the season. Having an indoor turf field to train on right here in this area sets us apart. We are the only club in the area with an indoor turf field in their own backyard
